First of all great job with the refurb, the place looks great and the new design brings it bang up to date with a modern grungy vibe with simple styling but still retains a classy feel. The ambience was terrific with a great background selection of music that wasn't intrusive. Spacing of tables was spot on. Our party of four was aware of others around but couldn't overhear anyone's conversation,..great balance. The staff were all very friendly and service was at the right pace.
We started with freshly backed bread which was simply "scrummy". All 4 starters were very creative and my pork belly was cooked to perfection and simply melted in my mouth with wonderful flavouring. Excellent !!
Whilst my wife had ox cheek, the rest of us had steak. Managed to steal a taste of the ox cheek ...boy oh boy your chef can cook !..... steaks were equally as impressive which we all loved and top marks for cooking and flavouring.
Desserts ?.... WOW !! ... Tom Kitchin springs to mind.. top notch.
Had a wee prosecco to start with and then went onto the house wine which was properly decanted and very very good, great selection !
Will be back 100%.... well done to all.
